Kodak May Post Higher Profit on Rising Digital Sales
Eastman Kodak Co., the world's largest photography
company, will probably report higher profit, excluding restructuring costs, as
sales of digital cameras and health-care imaging services jumped. Kodak is
expected to say tomorrow that profit in the second quarter climbed to 80 cents a
share, the average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial.
Spokesman David Lanzillo declined to say whether the company will have a profit
on a net basis. Net income was $136 million, or 48 cents a share, on sales of
$3.46 billion a year earlier.
