Press Release: I3A conference to focus on Imaging Trends
The International Imaging Industry Association
(I3A), the leading global association for the imaging industry, has announced
the program for its Leadership Conference, which is now an open industry
conference, revamped from the ground up. Superior content, outstanding
networking opportunities, and a world-class venue will combine to provide
attendees a concentrated dose of highly relevant, actionable information to take
back to their companies. The event is now open to non-members, making the I3A
conference the premier gathering point for thought leaders in the world of
imaging.
Digital imaging - Ever-changing
The event will take place November 2-4 at
L'Auberge Del Mar in north San Diego, California, and this year's conference
theme is "Shaping Tomorrow: Five trends that are changing the world of imaging."
From the rise of digital imaging to the proliferation of cameraphones, the last
five years have been a period of unparalleled change in the world of imaging,
and the only certainty is that the future will bring even more change.
I3A Leading conference
To help the industry keep pace with this
ever-changing environment, I3A has transformed the Leadership Conference,
broadening its scope and bringing in expert speakers from the world of imaging
and beyond. The event focuses on one single theme, and includes:
- Thought-provoking keynotes from visionary
thinkers, from both inside and outside the industry
- High-level industry overviews by leading
analysts, such as InfoTrends, IDC and Future Image
- Practical insights from leading companies
such as Sprint, HP, Motorola, IBM, Sony, and Kodak
- An optional half-day technical forum
covering the mechanics of the imaging revolution
- Numerous networking opportunities for
attendees to connect with imaging industry leaders
- A luxurious setting with a relaxed yet
high-energy ambiance, conducive to getting the most out of the event and the
leisure activities following, including golfing at the Torrey Pines golf course.
Opportunities and challenges on the road
ahead
Speakers will cover the impact of such
issues as the convergence of cameras with phones, commerce, music and
telecommunications, globalization and product design of the future. Attendees
will not only gain insight into the trends shaping tomorrow, but will find out
how some leading companies plan to address the opportunities and challenges on
the road ahead.
I3A conference with an
exceptional program
"Attendees at last year's
Leadership Conference were overwhelmingly positive on the changes we've made to
the format and content of the event," said Lisa Walker, I3A President. "This
year we've built on that success and have assembled another exceptional program,
filled with stimulating content and unparalleled opportunities for attendees to
network with other imaging industry leaders, in a striking and enjoyable
environment. If people can consider only one industry event this fall, the I3A
Leadership Conference will return the most value for their time and investment."
LJ Rose - "Tomorrow is Today: imaging
excellence in a disruptive age"
Wednesday's
keynote speaker will be LJ Rose, Senior Consultant with the Tom Peters Company,
on "Tomorrow is Today: Imaging Excellence in a Disruptive Age." Formerly one of
the nation's youngest School of Business Deans and a business coach since 1998,
she has 15 years' experience with precedent-setting leadership. She has
consulted with companies on implementing leadership competencies, shifting
cultures from compliance to commitment, and re-working so-so ideas into
high-impact projects. With humor, international savvy, and sympathetic
understanding of human nature, Rose will provide attendees with practical
insights into delivering quality products and services under changing
circumstances.
Sports photographer Dave
Black - Speaks about his passion for photography
Thursday's dinner keynote is famed sports
photographer Dave Black. Black's work has appeared in a variety of publications
including Sports Illustrated, Time, Newsweek, ESPN, Parade and The Wall Street
Journal, plus numerous books and major television news, entertainment and sports
broadcasts. An experienced speaker and teacher, Black will both show and tell
attendees what fuels his passion for photography and how his drive for
perfection in capturing the moment holds the viewer's attention.
Torrey Pines golf after the conference
program
In harmony with the Leadership
Conference, an optional Technical Forum immediately before the conference will
tackle the single theme "Image Archiving & Preservation in a Converging
World." After the conference program, on Friday, I3A has managed to secure a
limited number of tee times at the spectacular Torrey Pines golf course. With
fairways situated atop cliffs towering above the Pacific, golfers marvel at the
views of the coastline, the ocean surf, deep ravines, and daring hang-gliders.
Torrey Pines is home to the PGA Tour's annual Buick Invitational, where Tiger
Woods returned to the winner's circle in 2005. Tee times at this beautiful
course are nearly impossible for casual visitors to obtain: attendees are urged
not to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend some quality time with
business associates in a breathtaking setting.
Limitied number of Leadership Conference
Sponsorship opportunities
A limited number of
Leadership Conference sponsorship opportunities are available. As a staging
ground for an invaluable exchange of ideas among attendees and industry
influencers, the upgraded event is a very effective platform for promoting a
company's product or service offerings. With the prime audience that is I3A's
special blend of member companies, reaching every corner of the global imaging
industry, the Leadership Conference provides the best vantage point for seeing
the big picture, in which sponsors will be showcased.
