DuPont's Profit Doubles, Boosted by Asset Sales


DuPont Co. said its second-quarter profit doubled from a year earlier as the chemicals company booked several one-time gains in the latest quarter compared with sizable charges in the year-earlier period. The company said it expects to make a decision in the third quarter on the possible repatriation of $8 billion to $10 billion of foreign earnings.
