LG VX-1000 Kiddy cellphoneLG
has entered into the childrens' cell phone market with its VX-1000. It is a
simplified phone that has a programmable phonebook, with numbers keyed in by the
parents. The monochrome display VX-1000 is able to dial a pre-defined set of
numbers only and it will jostle for sales with other phones in the same segment,
namely the TicTalk
and FireFly.
LG's offering is a CDMA handset and is expected to launch from Verizon
Wireless.
