HP to buy Scitex printer assets for $230 mln


Printer maker Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ.N: Quote, Profile, Research) on Thursday said it plans to acquire most of the assets of Scitex Vision, a maker of large-scale printers, for $230 million.
HP said the acquisition expands its leadership in large-format printing into printers for signage and industrial applications, such as billboards, banners, street advertising and packaging.
