Press Release: Kodak Improves MatchPrint Digital Halftone Yellow
Kodak helps commercial printers comply with
emerging print specifications with the introduction of a new high density
(“HD”) yellow media donor for its MatchPrint Digital Halftone
Proofing System. The MatchPrint Digital Halftone HD-GT Yellow Media expands the
color gamut of the MatchPrint Digital Halftone system color set for improved
simulation of the proposed GRACoL specification (DTR004) when used with
MatchPrint Digital Halftone HD-GT Cyan, Magenta, and Black Media. MatchPrint
Digital Halftone system users who want and need to be in compliance with the
emerging print specification for the commercial market will be able to do so
with Kodak’s new yellow donor.
“The release of this new donor provides users
with an outstanding proofing match to the proposed GRACoL specification, which
will satisfy the performance specifications of their customers who support this
standard.” MatchPrint Digital Halftone HD-GT Yellow Media features an
increased density for an improved match to the proposed GRACoL specification
(DTR004) in yellows, greens and reds. The MatchPrint Digital Halftone Proofing
System, an IR thermal digital halftone system, is imaged on Kodak’s
Trendsetter Spectrum, which features a common RIP to make both plates and
proofs, ensuring identical screening on the proof and the plate.
