Canon Australia's website has been ranked the most visited in key digital imaging categories, according to the latest Internet tracking research from Hitwise and Nielsen NetRatings. New Hitwise research found that for the Second Quarter 2005 the Canon Australia website was the most visited site in the category of Entertainment - Photography, a ranking Canon has sustained for the last ten consecutive quarters, since First Quarter 2003. In the category of Computers & Internet - Electronics, Canon Australia's website was also found to have attracted the most visitors in Q2 2005, a position it has upheld for the last three quarters.

Canon Australia' website was also ranked number three as the most visited Computers & Internet - Hardware website in Australia for the last three quarters, behind Dell and Apple. According to Nielsen NetRatings, more than 8 million page impressions were made on the Canon Australia website during Q2 2005, up 9.8 per cent on the first quarter this year. The website attracted 767,161 unique visitors in Q2, an increase of 8 per cent on Q1. The research also found that traffic to the Canon website increased significantly year on year, with the number of pages visited on the site up 25 per cent Q2 2005 v Q2 2004, with the number of unique visitors to the site leaping by 31%.
