Does "The Microsoft Store" have the same ring as "The Apple
Store?"
Several years ago Apple decided to do something
rather unexpected: open retail stores devoted to selling Apple hardware and
software. They did this at a time where companies like Gateway were shutting
down stores to cut costs. At the time many people thought they were crazy and
that they would never succeed; obviously that was not the case as Apple's stores
have been wildly successful.
