Agfa's German parent bankrupt
About 50 AgfaPhoto workers across Australia and
2900 worldwide are expected to have a clearer picture of their fate today after
the German company filed for bankruptcy late last
week.
Just seven months since the company
was sold for €112 million ($184 million) by its Belgian parent, printing
and health-care company Agfa-Gevaert, AgfaPhoto has become the latest victim of
the growing switch to digital photography.
