Nokia Adds to Line Of Cellphones in Bid To Lift U.S. Business
Nokia Corp. launched seven new mobile phones to
help address weakness in its product range in North America, where it suffered a
sharp drop in market share in the first
quarter.
The Finland-based handset maker
said the products include three phones based on the code division multiple
access, or CDMA, standard that is common in the U.S. alongside the competing
global system for mobile communications, or GSM, technology.
