Former assessor charged with taking Kodak-related bribes
Federal authorities on Tuesday charged a former
Greece assessor with taking bribes to significantly reduce property values for
Eastman Kodak Co. in Monroe County's largest town.
Prosecutors say Charles Schwab, 58, of
Victor, allegedly conspired with Yates County appraiser John Nicolo, 72, and
former Kodak real estate executive Mark Camarata, 42, in a scheme that reduced
Kodak's property value in Greece by a total of $65.8 million.
