Sanyo to open Vietnam digital camera plant in SeptemberJapanese electronics maker Sanyo will open a
digital camera plant in an industrial zone in the Vietnamese southern province
of Dong Nai on September 13 this year, a company official said August
9.
The plant will be capable of producing 3,000
cameras a month, said a leader of the Sanyo DI Solutions Vietnam, a subsidiary
of the Japanese giant in the country.
The figure will be raised up to 10,000 within this
year, the official said.
Investment into the facility’s first phase of
construction reached US$13 million, according to the company.
