Online photo prices - how they comparePhoto
Marketing Association International, Jackson, Mich., USA, monitors the
prices of digital prints at various online photo services and includes
information in Newsline International on a quarterly basis on current
prices offered by online photo services for U.S. customers. Online film
processing is no longer reported on the chart, since most online ordering is
done using digital images.
With the surge in popularity for online processing, many sites now offer discounts for members, special promotions, and an array of enlargements and photo novelties. Check individual websites for additional information and more specific shipping prices, which vary according to volume. Since the last survey was done March 23, Sears, EZ
Prints, SAM'S CLUB, Walgreens and Yahoo! have been added. The lowest cost for a
4-by-6 digital print is currently 11 cents from SAM'S CLUB. Ritzpix.com and
Print@wolf lowered the price of a 4-by-6 digital print two cents to 27 cents,
and the price of an 11-by-14 enlargement from $14.99 to $9.99. Snapfish reduced
the price of a 4-by-6 digital print from 19 cents to 12 cents, a 5-by-7 print
from 95 cents to 79 cents, and the cost of an 8-by-10 digital enlargement fell
from $3.79 to $2.99. Watch for the next report in
October.
